Stolen pickup, and father’s ashes, are recovered in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man’s truck with his father’s ashes inside stolen from a Syracuse hotel were recovered Tuesday night by Syracuse police.
Thomas Rice’s blue 2016 Ford F-150 was found in the 100 block of Onondaga Avenue around 7:30 p.m., according to Kieran Coffey, a Syracuse police spokesperson. Inside the car, he said they found a box with what appeared to be ashes.
